The National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) has announced changes to its board of directors and officers for fiscal year 2027, effective July 1, 2026.
FY27 Board Officers:
- Chair: Joanna Kail, Wyoming PBS
- Vice Chair: Darren LaShelle, Northern California Public Media
- Secretary: Avery Hutchins, WCTE Central TN PBS
- Treasurer: Anthony Hayes, WMHT
- Past Chair: Adrienne Fairwell, South Carolina ETV
- Marta Bechtol, PBS Wisconsin/Wisconsin Educational Communications Board
- Debbie Hamlett, Milwaukee PBS
FY27 Finance Committee:

“The incoming board members bring deep experience, fresh perspective, and a shared commitment to public media’s mission,” said Eric Hyyppa, NETA president. “They are well positioned to lead NETA’s efforts to evolve, innovate, and ensure public media remains essential and relevant for the audiences we serve.”
As NETA welcomes new leadership, the organization also recognizes board members who are concluding their service at the end of FY26:
