In his 50th Anniversary presentation, University of Wisconsin-Madison chemistry Professor Bassam Shakhashiri heats things up with flaming balloons and sparking bottles. Then he cools it with liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen. He is assisted by a team of tin soldiers and the Science Is Fun Band under the direction of Professor Mike Leckrone.
