On June 30, 2025, Tinia Milhouse-Lazenby will retire from NETA after 26 years of service. She most recently served as director of culture and learning, where she has provided leadership and support around culture and growth including conferences, events, and internal staff development. She has been with the organization since 1999 and previously served as senior director of conference services.
“Tinia has been a valuable resource not only for NETA, but for our members, conference and event attendees, public media partners, and the entire public media system,” said Eric Hyyppa, NETA president. “We will miss her and her warmth and wealth of knowledge and wish her all the best in her next chapter.”
In her most recent role, Milhouse-Lazenby oversaw learning and development programs that enhance staff culture, employee skills, career growth, and leadership development. She fostered an inclusive work environment by working on culture to align the professional environment with the organization’s values and mission. She is a Public Media Diversity Leaders Initiative fellow from their fifth cohort.
“My 26 years at NETA have been a truly rewarding experience. I leave for this next phase of my life with a wealth of memories, invaluable lessons, and lifelong friendships,” said Milhouse-Lazenby. “It is my sincere hope that I have positively influenced NETA and the important work we undertake on our members’ and clients’ behalf. This journey has been remarkable, and I am deeply grateful to all who have allowed me the privilege of serving you throughout the years.”
