Songs at the Center is a fun music series about the craft of songwriting, spotlighting accomplished singers and songwriters, from the famous to the emerging. The series is created and hosted by Eric Gnezda, an award-winning songwriter, Emmy-nominated journalist, and frequent performer at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café.

Produced by The Songs at the Center Company, Songs at the Center is presented and distributed nationally by NETA (National Education Telecommunications Association). The series’ seventh season premieres on public television stations nationwide beginning May 31, 2021 (check local listings).

Songs at the Center brings guests to the stage at The McConnell Arts Center in Worthington, Ohio, and to other unique historic venues. Half-hour episodes showcase three great Singer-Songwriters performing their original music “in the round” before a live audience.

Season Seven features Grammy Award winner Suzy Bogguss, whose country album Aces, went platinum; Folk legend John Gorka, and rising stars Crys Matthews, recent winner of Lincoln Center and Sundance Film Festival honors; Alice Wallace, and Nellie Clay, who’s a regular performer at the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, OK.
