Clem & Pledger for FY 2020 Executive Committee

Columbia, SC (March 15, 2019) – The National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) announced today the election results for the fiscal year 2020 executive committee of the NETA board of directors. Roy Clem, executive director of Alabama Public Television, has been elected to serve a second term and Courtney Pledger, Arkansas Educational Television Network executive director, has been elected to her first term. The organization will welcome Clem and Pledger effective July 1, 2019.
Roy Clem has worked in public media for 36 years and joined Alabama Public Television as its executive director in 2012. Clem has received many prestigious awards including Broadcaster of the Year in 2012 in Alabama, the same year he was inducted into the Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame.

Courtney Pledger joined Arkansas Public Television as executive director in 2017. Prior to that time, Pledger worked in the film and television industry for more than 30 years. She is a recipient of Women in Film's Lillian Gish Producing Award and has been nominated for a primetime Emmy.

They will be an invaluable addition to our board leadership.”
Clem and Pledger join Molly Phillips, Iowa Public Television; Vickie Lawson, East Tennessee PBS; Laura Hunter, Utah Education Network; Gene Purcell, Wisconsin Public Media; and Ron Pisaneschi of Idaho Public Television.
