Short Description: “Company Town” follows a down-to-the-wire election campaign focused on the nationwide debate over what's being called "the sharing economy."

Two ethnic neighborhoods, San Francisco's Latino Mission district and Chinatown, are the epicenter of evictions and gentrification. Are short-term rentals through Airbnb a cause of that crisis?

Two candidates for the city's Board of Supervisors square off on opposite sides of the issue while neighborhood residents weigh in on what's at stake for them. Can they afford to stay in their homes? Can the middle class remain in a city where rents are spiraling out of control?

With unusual access to both sides in the election campaign and to the communities most affected, “Company Town” asks, "Is this the future of cities? And who will decide?"
