Channel realignment is a big concern for public television stations. Milwaukee PBS has been recognized nationally for their efforts to ensure their audience would be able to view their channel after their bandwidth changed due to the spectrum auction sale. Milwaukee PBS not only had an integrated marketing campaign - but allowed their viewers to call in as station employee’s walked them through on how to scan their TV.
The National Association of Broadcasters recognized Milwaukee PBS' PLAN TO SCAN initiative and general manager Bohdan Zachary was asked to speak to the FCC about the successful campaign.
