Many stations offer some kind of professional development in STEM fields, but computer science is a new arena for most of them.  Stations in Ohio and Minnesota have partnered with non-profits such as Code.org to offer computer science resources and professional development.  This session will show why computer science education might be a great fit for your station.

Our knowledgeable presenters are: Ann Puckett, regional manager for Code.org and a computer scientist; Rita Karl, Director of STEM Media, Education and SciGirls staff at Twin Cities PBS; Sarah Carter, STEM Content Outreach Manager, and SciGirls staff also at Twin Cities PBS  and, Gary Greenberg  director of educational technology for Public Media Connect

Join us to
determine whether computer science education is a service you could offer in your community.
