(January 24, 2005 - Charleston, SC) The
National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) honored eighteen public
television licensees some more than once with awards Monday night on stage at
the historic Riviera Theatre. NETA Board Chair Ted A. Garcia (KNME/Albuquerque) presented
trophies to more than thirty projects in the areas of program production, promotion,
outreach, and instructional media. The celebratory presentation and reception are part of
NETAs annual conference, held this year in Charleston, South Carolina.
This years panel of judges selected two endeavors for additional recognition as "Best
of the Best" --

Communications Association, the NETA Awards are annual recognition of excellence in public
broadcasting. NETA is a professional association founded in 1997 to serve public
